Research and Clinical Interests:
Artificial heart technology and the development of left ventricular assist devices, cardiac transplantation, pulmonary thromboendarterectomy, database development (Critical Care and Automated Anesthesia Database systems), intra-operative and critical care monitoring systems, treatment of post-operative hypertension, sympathetic innervation of the heart, congenital heart disease, and treatment of post-cardiopulmonary bypass shivering and chronic pain. Recent experience has included ECMO support for ARDS, including H1N1, and for cardio-pulmonary failure. |
