Midwifery services are available to all healthy women who wish to give birth naturally. This personalized follow-up allows women and their families to get involved throughout the maternity process, receiving the care and support they want.

The Midwife is an independent health professional who offers comprehensive and comprehensive maternity care. Members in good standing of the Ordre des sages-femmes du Québec (OSFQ), midwives have the skills, training and equipment to ensure an optimal and safe environment for future parents regardless of where they choose to give Birth to their child. To become a midwife in Quebec, you must have a bachelor’s degree in midwifery obtained after four and a half years of university training. Services offered by the midwife
Full maternity follow-up includes: pregnancy monitoring, childbirth and postnatal follow-up for mother and newborn up to six weeks after birth.
The services offered in the home are free of charge for all Québec health card holders.
